POPULAR GAMESHOWS ATTRACT NEW SPONSORS WITH “VEGAN WEEK” PROGRAMMING {Content/Brand Sponsorship}

Popular gameshows Family Feud, Jeopardy and Wheel of Fortune announce “vegan week” programming (alts: “Kindness Week” / “Animals Week”), adjusting their sponsors, categories, subjects and answers toward vegan / plant-based / kindness subject matter. Though Jeopardy has previously debuted a vegan category (kudos), and Wheel of Fortune’s Pat Sajak has famously joked about “meat-based vegetables,” this idea would be far more intentional. Show writers would concept and write a week’s worth of ideas, clues and puzzle-solutions – and the promotional machines for each enterprise would promote their upcoming “vegan week” formats, allowing for fresh brand sponsorship opportunities. Whether or not a given contestant is fully vegan would be up to each show’s program directors (there are benefits to doing it either way). Show hosts might be equipped to explain the reasoning for “vegan week” at the top of each show – quickly citing the need to “adjust to the times, and do all we can for planet and personal health, and also animal-welfare.” Of course, if doing a full week of vegan shows feels like too much, a show could opt to try it for one episode.

We love this idea as it could do great work and go a long way toward normalizing and mainstreaming what we like to call “kind consumerism,” helping to create the kind world we intend to see, sooner than later. Thank you.
