NATIONAL PLANT-MILK ASSOCIATION EMERGES TO STEAL A PAGE FROM DAIRY INDUSTRY PLAYBOOK / {Plant Industry Group}

Do a web search of “dairy association” and you’ll likely be surprised at how many different entities seem to exist. One of the most iconic and obvious examples of the power of such conglomerates is the funding they can gather in order to promote the category in general. The iconic “Got Milk?” campaign is the king example. Over the decades of its existence, the amount of media dollars they’ve spent simply boggles comprehension. Not to mention the A-list director costs and fees paid to one of the world’s most creative ad agencies – Goodby Silverstein & Partners. It’s all testament to the staggering amount of money in the dairy industry. After all, if belonging to the California Milk Processor Board (the original “Got Milk” client) requires enough fee in order to fund such creative efforts and media expense, wow. Money is flowing as much as the ubiquitous fluid that’s meant solely to flow from mother cow’s udder to her calf (because it’s a mammary secretion meant for baby cows, not humans). Soapbox time: Look at how many people have digestion problems, acne, chron’s disease, alzheimers, and so on. It’s likely because of dairy consumption. Every human is “lactose intolerant” if it’s lactose from an animal other than a human. It’s just a matter of degree. But it’s so freakin’ hard “to give up cheese” because we’re addicted. That’s no conspiracy theory. That’s how this works. It’s called Casomorphin. Anyway, that’s beside the point for now. Actually, screw that. It’s as much the point as the radical suffering going on in every dairy farm worldwide right now – “organic,” “free range” or any other “humane washing moniker” that these corporate concentration camps choose to use (thinking you’re stupid enough to buy it). With mother cows having babies pulled away after birth only to be thrust into more dairy making or veal making and – make no mistake – once that sweet mother cow is no longer productive enough, she’s just another innocent sent to die for the meat industry herself.  So this idea is to form some sort of “Plant-Milk Association” like the myriad dairy associations out there – have all the plant-milk brands buy in to become members – and steal from the “Got Milk playbook” to create a famous campaign that educates as to the realities here. So let’s do that. Who’s running with this? PBFA? Want our help?
